Why RODIM® TPU PPF?

Can the RODIM® TPU PPF be cleaned with detergent after installation?

The film can be cleaned frequently after one week, but do not use solvent-based cleaning solutions.

Can the RODIM® TPU PPF be cleaned with a high-pressure water jet after installation?

A high-pressure water gun can be used when washing the car but avoid high pressure on the edges of the protective film.

Can I use an automatic car wash machine to wash my car after installing the RODIM® TPU PPF?

If you need to use an automatic car wash, choose a non-contact car wash. Contact Brushes may not be soft enough & can scratch the adhesive film or even cause damage to the edges.

Does removing the RODIM® TPU PPF damage the original paintwork?

The chance of damaging the original paint by removing the RODIM® TPU PPF is very low, but it is important to use a professional technician from an authorized RODIM® dealer to remove the protective film to minimize the risk.

What is auto-repair/automatic scratch repair / self-healing?

There is a special polyurethane polymer coating on the surface of RODIM® TPU PPF, this transparent coating has the function of scratch memory repair, the coating will be automatically repaired to the original state through heat (such as sun, hot air, etc.), but the automatic repair is limited. Deep scratches may not be restored. If the scratch is deep enough to penetrate the auto-repair coating, the auto-repair function will not work , but the ability of the paint protection film to protect the original paint will not be affected.

What is the difference between each model of RODIM® TPU PPF?

ROD-R1-Basic Protection:

It also has the function of automatic scratch repair and excellent anti-fouling ability, which effectively prevents the paint from being damaged by the daily environment and is a product that takes into account both protection and economy.

ROD-R2 – Stronger Protection:

In addition to the automatic scratch repair function and excellent stain resistance as the ROD-R1, the thickness has been increased to improve the overall protection force.

ROD-R2 Low Gloss – Amazing Texture:

The ROD-R2 Low Gloss has the same performance and thickness as the ROD-R2, but its surface features a matte finish, providing the vehicle with a high-end texture. The ROD-R2 Pro-Protection has also been improved. Along with maintaining the same thickness as the ROD-R2, it includes an automatic scratch repair function and excellent stain resistance. Additionally, it offers enhanced resistance to carburetor cleaners and exceptional corrosion protection.

ROD-R3 Pro-Extreme Performance & Protection:

In addition to the same scratch repair function as the ROD-R2, excellent stain resistance, and excellent corrosion resistance, it has added a higher thickness and is the top product in the RODIM® PPF series.
